Are you impressed with your Deen or God ?
The majority of human beings wrongly think they should have the right to break and disregard Gods commands at will, and get way with it. Man thinks some how he can make up for disobeying the one whom has the sole right to be obey completely by being "religious" and good in his own eyes. This is based on their false humanist worldview:
" An outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. "
Man wants his "god" to be a Genni in the ski who grants all his or her wishes and will never take them to account for what they are.. Sinners. They think they can bribe the true Holy God with religious tokens, they "talk" mercy but don't really want mercy..they really want to be justified for what they do.

" The real Injil is foolishness to fallen sin smeared human reason and totally offensive and blasphemous to self righteous fanatics. The religious fanatic has already per-determined that his "god" owes him a debt that definitely will be paid in full on the day of judgement. "I" have believed in my "god", I have submitted to "it", I have done all these good works for "it" .. now pay me what you owe me!
Even the open hypocrites and lukewarm nominal religious fanatics take the same attitude as their more diligent counter parts. It's not uncommon to hear them say things like "Allah will have rahma", "I have eman", "I am not that bad", "I am basically a good person" again this is all code language for my "god" owes me something "
Christ and his sacrifice is only really appealing and accepted by Sinners who know the reality of how lost they really are. Until you come to and awake to your real condition of being a hopeless drowning person who can not swim, "Grace" and "Mercy" will always be distorted concepts in your sinful heart.
Who on this planet is pious? No one is pious or good just sinners, some sinners let it all out and sin as much as possible. other sinners hide behind religion...you are a sinner to your very core of your heart.
Gen 6:5 " And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. "
You can toss water on yourself, you can bow, you can give some money away, you can wear religious garb ... but do something truly impressive stop sinning for one day.
If you want to stand before God based on who and what you are then you are damned. If your "god" puts up with sin then you have a idol, the real God hates sin period. No sin will ever be around him nor be in eternity with him.
So you are left with a predicament how do you a sinner save yourself? Man will come to know one day soon the universe does not revolve around you and what you like and what you want, you are not a god or a lord, he will dictate to you, you will not dictate to him
