More freedom more responsibility
He must increase, but I must decrease. John 3:30 KJV
The following video spoke to me, as someone who has come out of the totalitarianism of Islam, that dictates your ever movement, being in the Liberty of Christ can feel strange. In the deen you have a schedule to live by wake up here, pray there, read this much Quran, pray again, make Qiyam now etc etc, all the while the motivation is don't anger Allah, earn more good deeds for the meezaan scale, conform to what everyone else in the community is doing, don't let your "religious" face down. In Jesus Christ who is the Savior, these are all a none factor, because in Christianity you walk by Faith(Trust) not by sight, Jesus is the provider of our salvation He first loves us and came and got us out of the prisons we were in. There is no "cheap grace" to recline on, the motivation to do works is Grace, to the natural minded unsaved person it would seem like being given forgiveness and grace without merit would make you lazy, nothing could be further from the truth. If you are really saved and a true Christian then Christ's sacrifice should produce fruit, its not you producing the fruit because your works are worthless to God, it's God working the works in you and you yielding to Him.
1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in
me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it
abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. John 15:1-6 ESV
I f you have left the falsehood of Islam for the Truth of Christ, give your Master better service then you gave your idol.
